Privacy Policy

The short version

The developer of Personal PITA does not collect your data. There are no accounts, analytics, ads, tracking, or developer-operated servers. Your app data is stored locally on your device. If you use speech recognition, Apple may process audio as described below.

What the app stores

Your projects, tasks, needed items, reminders, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's CoreData framework. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly export a project using the share sheet, use Apple's speech recognition service, or share an audio recording into Personal PITA as described below.

Microphone and speech recognition

Personal PITA asks for microphone and speech recognition permission so it can transcribe your voice into projects and tasks. Transcription is performed by Apple's speech recognition service built into iOS. Depending on your device and iOS settings, Apple may process audio on your device or on Apple's servers — this is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Audio files selected inside Personal PITA are read for transcription and are not copied into the app. Audio shared from another app through Personal PITA's Share Extension is copied into a private App Group inbox on your device so the main app can import it. That copy is removed after a successful import or when you explicitly discard it. An unclaimed copy is removed after it is more than seven days old the next time Personal PITA opens. If its age cannot be determined safely, the app retains it rather than risking deletion of a recording you may still need.

Personal PITA does not send recordings to the developer or to a developer-operated server. Apple's handling of speech-recognition audio is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

What we don't do

• No personal information is collected by the developer — we never see your name, email, projects, recordings, or anything else
• No analytics or usage tracking of any kind
• No third-party SDKs, ad networks, or trackers
• No account creation — there's nothing to sign up for
• No selling of data and no developer sharing of your data

Your data, your control

Because app data and temporary shared-audio copies live on your device, deleting the app deletes them. You can also explicitly discard a shared recording during import. There is nothing to request from the developer or ask us to erase because the developer never receives this data.

Children's privacy

Personal PITA does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy (for example, adding optional iCloud sync), this policy will be updated here before that version ships, with a new effective date.
